The Bridge Between Inc. is a nonprofit horse sanctuary. Our two-fold mission is to rescue and rehabilitate abused, abandoned, and neglected horses, and to use their inherent theraputic presence to help adults and children with mental, physical and emotional difficulties. Our rescued horses are brought back to health with the help of our volunteer and professional staff. When the horses are safe and sound they begin working with our clients to bridge healing relationships that foster connection within ourselves and with our surroundings.
Day Retreats:
Fellow non-profit organizations looking to better the lives of those in our community are invited to partner with our day retreat program. Participants will spend 2-3 hours with our volunteer staff learning how to interact with, care for, ride, and train our equine residents. Often, we begin by allowing time for everyone to get to know the horses and learn how to relax with them through grooming and feeding. Then, participants are led through activities with the horses such as leading, lunging, bathing, or riding.
