Volunteering:
Hands on volunteering
Spend time with our friendly horses and help with the daily tasks of grooming, feeding, and mucking. Whether you are an experienced horse person or completely new to the horse world, we would appreciate your help. Long-term volunteers are eligible for one riding lesson for every four hours of volunteer time.
Group Project Days
If you’re part of a school group, scouting troop, or company team and are looking for a way to socialize with your peers or coworkers while contributing to the community, consider scheduling a volunteer day with us. You could help us with projects like building a fence, painting, or bathing horses. End the day with an opportunity to ride, groom, and get to know our equines.

Leadership Roles
If you are interested in being trained to fill any of the following rolls, let us know.
Lesson Instructor
Teach beginner riding lessons to volunteers. Many of our volunteers are new to horses and are still learning how to ride.
Social Media Manager / Photographer
We are in need of assistance with running our social media pages, creating graphics for flyers, and taking photos and videos to document volunteer days and events.
Volunteer orientation leader & volunteer day leader
This would entail showing up a few minutes early to volunteer days, discussing plans for the day with Petal, and being in charge of delegating tasks and checking in with volunteers. If new volunteers are coming, you would also be responsible for greeting them, talking to them about how they want to be involved, teaching them the basics of horse safety, and showing them how to go about the daily feeding routine.
Administrator
This includes a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: Researching grants, sending thank you's to donors, creating flyers for events, updating the website, and coordinating volunteer days and volunteer orientations.
