Job Title: Grant Writer & Fundraising Specialist

The Grant Writer & Fundraising Specialist is the primary architect of our organization’s growth. You will be translating our vision into a compelling narrative that inspires action and secures the resources necessary to drive The Bridge Between, Inc. forward.
In this pivotal role, you will act as a bridge between our community impact and the philanthropic world. You will spend your time identifying strategic funding opportunities, crafting persuasive proposals, and building long-term relationships with foundations and corporate partners. Your words will be the catalyst that turns ambitious goals into reality, ensuring our programs have the sustained support they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Grant Research: Identify new funding prospects (foundations, corporate giving programs, and local grants) that align with our mission.
Proposal Development: Draft, edit, and submit high-quality grant applications and letters of inquiry (LOIs).
Storytelling: Work with program staff to gather data and "success stories" to create a compelling narrative for donors.
Reporting: Assist in tracking deadlines and preparing impact reports for existing funders to ensure we maintain strong relationships.
Database Management: Keep our grant calendar up to date and maintain organized records of submissions and outcomes.
Feedback Collection: Gather insights after events to help us figure out what worked and what we can do better next time.
Qualifications
Education: Associate’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
Experience: Prior experience in professional writing, journalism, or non-profit development.
Strong Writing Skills: Ability to write clearly, concisely, and persuasively.
Detail-Oriented: You can follow complex application guidelines without breaking a sweat.
Self-Starter: Since this is a volunteer role, the ability to manage your own schedule and meet deadlines is crucial.
Passion for the Mission: A genuine interest in animal welfare.
Time Management: Ability to commit 5-10 hours per week.
